Hosting which means that you can have your own domain name and
web site on our web servers. We will register your own domain
name which will become your unique address on the World Wide
Web. With your own domain name, you will have a unique URL
forever and since email can be sent and received under your
domain (e.g. YOU@YOURNAME.COM ) you will not have to announce a
new email address if you change internet providers.
We will register your Domain
but we do not control the domain name. The name is yours and if
you later decide to move to a different provider, you are free
to move the domain. We would prefer that you stayed with us, but
if you do decide to move, we cannot block you from moving your
domain.
A Virtual
Server is a website that is served from one of our powerful
servers, which is shared with other sites. This type of website
is best for webmasters that require fast website services for a
small number of websites and at a reasonable cost. If the amount
of traffic you expect to get is less then 1 Mbs (that is a T1 or
about 50,000 visitors per day) your most cost effective
option is to use Virtual Servers to operate your website.
However, if you have a large
number of users accessing your system and/or require server
intensive programs to be run (database/SQL lookups, custom CGI
execution, etc) or you wish to resell websites and/or web
services, a Dedicated Server may be a
more cost effective option.
Generally the larger the
bandwidth or server resource requirements, the more cost
effective a dedicated server is.

Yes, you will be able to access
the domain name with or without the WWW in front. For example,
you could access the domain name "mydomain.com" by
going to "www.mydomain.com" as well as "mydomain.com".
No. We only provide Internet
Web Server Services.
Yes, we will host Adult sites.
However, the site must comply with Canadian Content restrictions
(no child pornography, no bondage, no bestiality, no hate
literature, etc). Adult sites have special pricing due to the high
traffic that they generate.
Other unusual sites may be
considered but we reserve the right to turn down any internet

registrations. Domain registration is quite easy and we will
tell you exactly how to register your domain. If you require

Yes. When you place your order
be sure to specify that you are requesting a transfer and NOT a
new domain.
You should keep the service at
the present site while waiting for Internic to complete the
transfer. We will provide you with a temporary IP address so you
can mirror the site on our server. All email and web pages will
still be accessed from the current site. When InterNIC announces
the completion of the transfer there is a 48 hour propagation
period where visitors could go to either site. At the end of the
48 hours you should contact the previous host to have them
delete the old domain from their records and update their DNS
record. If you use this same provider for your Internet access
you will not be able to access your domain site with Koi Media
until they update their DNS.

Note: Transferring
domains from other countries may take longer depending on that
countries domain registration policies. If you are not sure,

Once the InterNIC announces
that your domain name has been registered (or transferred, if
applicable), it usually takes about 48 hours before it is
active. All internet providers must update their records (DNS
tables) to reflect new site locations. This is done
automatically but may take up to 48 hours to be completed over
the full internet.

Files must be transferred to
the web server via File Transport Protocol (FTP) or Microsoft
Front Page. If you need FTP software, you can download a program
for either the PC or Mac from winfiles.com.
Internet providers such as AOL and Prodigy may have a built-in
FTP interface, as do most web authoring programs.
If you own Microsoft®
FrontPage® 2000 / 2002, you will be able to publish to your
site using that program. All Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000 / 2002
services are supported.
You have unlimited access via
FTP or Microsoft® FrontPage® 2000 / 2002 24 hours a day. You
can create and maintain your web pages on your own computer and
upload files to your web site at your leisure.
This service is normally only available
to Co-Location customers. If you wish
to have this service, please email us and we can discuss your
requirements.
Yes. We are pleased to have
customers from many countries around the world and we're as
close as your computer. If desired, we can host non US domain
name extensions. We will provide the necessary technical
information but you will need to register the name yourself if
it is outside of North America. Please let us know in advance if
you want to use a non-US domain name.

domains on your behalf.
Yes. We have 24/7 online and
telephone support. We encourage our customers to send message to
form with questions or concerns about their web site. If
we cannot offer a solution to a concern within a reasonable
timeframe, we will invite you to call us or we'll call you
directly.
As long as all your application
is complete, we normally have your account activated within 1-2
business days. Once an account is set up, an activation notice
will be sent you via email including an IP address and
Instructions for using all the custom features. You can begin
uploading files to your new web site immediately after receiving
your IP address (temporary URL).

bandwidth monitoring report in almost real time (Updated every 5

expect to transfer depends on many variables, most of them
outside our control.
In pure data transfer rates,
100Kbs is about 30 Gigs per Month. We bill for usage above
the basic website package amount.
